Dumfries Town Board is pleased to announce its projects for Year 1 (2026/2027) of the ten-year programme. We are proud to have allocated all available Year 1 funding - both capital and revenue, within the first year of the funding profile.
From the outset, our ambition has been to deliver tangible, high-impact projects that will make a meaningful difference to the town while aligning with the three core themes of the Pride of Place programme: thriving places, stronger communities, and taking back control.
We believe this first phase presents a diverse and ambitious portfolio of projects that are place-based, strategic, and firmly rooted in local needs. Together, these initiatives will help revitalise the high street, empower young people and communities, enhance cultural assets, promote active lifestyles, and strengthen civic participation across Dumfries.
