We’re inviting communities from across Dumfries to come together, roll up their sleeves, and make their street the pride of the town. The Best Street Competition is all about neighbours uniting to clean, tidy, and brighten the streets they call home, from sweeping pavements to planting flowers, painting fences, and adding those special touches that make a street shine.

This is more than just a one-off event, it’s a yearly award that will always be part of our community, encouraging friendly competition and inspiring us all to take pride in Dumfries. Street by street, year by year, we can restore the beauty and charm of our town.

Whether you live on a quiet lane, a bustling road, or a leafy cul-de-sac, this is your chance to work together with friends, family, and neighbours to win the title of Best Kept Street.

How to enter: simply send in your before photos before the 25th of August to info@dumfriestownboard.uk, then send your after photos before the 29th September 2025 to info@dumfriestownboard.uk.
