Dumfries Town Board Announces Projects for Year 1

Dumfries Town Board is pleased to announce its projects for Year 1 (2026/2027) of the ten-year programme.

We are proud to have allocated all available Year 1 funding – both capital and revenue, within the first year of the funding profile, ensuring we can hit the ground running with projects that will make a real and lasting impact across the town.

The projects align with the three core themes of the Pride of Place programme: thriving places, stronger communities, and taking back control. Together, they represent a diverse and ambitious programme of work that is place-based, strategic, and firmly rooted in local needs.

From revitalising the high street and enhancing cultural assets, to empowering young people and communities, promoting active lifestyles, and strengthening civic participation, these initiatives aim to deliver meaningful change for Dumfries.

The public drop-in sessions will be taking place at The Hub, 24–26 Friars Vennel, Dumfries in mid-June 2026, dates and times to be confirmed.

Everyone with an interest, are warmly invited to come along, meet representatives from the Board and project partners, find out more about the projects, ask questions, and share their ideas for the future of Dumfries.
